Psalms 37:3-5 Trust in the Lord and do good; dwell in the land and enjoy safe pasture. 4 Delight yourself in the Lord, and he will give you the desires of your heart. 5 Commit your way to the Lord; trust in him and he will do this:

I just remembered while praying my prayer list for a woman to marry, God confirmed me through these verses particularly in verse 3 that the Lord granted my prayer long time back but He told me clearly with an audible voice "you need only to obey".

What a surprised! All are expecting 'crossover' this year 2020 but surprisingly a storm welcomed us in the beginning of this year, I lost my job. I felt envy to evil people because some are popular or that they are excessively rich. However, Psalm 37:1-2 comforted me and the Lord says; My son, "no matter how much they have, it will fade and vanish like grass that withers and dies. But you who followed Me will live differently from the wicked and, in the end you will have far greater treasures in heaven. What the unbeliever gets may last a lifetime, if he is lucky. What you get from following Me lasts forever."

From that day, I can even smile at the storm as God assured me that He may grant the deepest desires of my heart to dwell in this foreign land and enjoy safe pasture, provided if I will:

Firstly, Trust in the Lord and do good. It means simply believe that God loves you. For those whom He loves is not a wanderer rather being led to the shortest route to the dwelling land to enjoy that is flowing with milk and honey. Secondly, Delight yourself in the Lord. To delight in someone means to experience great pleasure and joy in his or her presence.  This happens only when we know that person well. Thus, to delight in the Lord, we must know him better.  Knowledge of God's great love for us will indeed give us delight.  Thirdly, Commit your way to the Lord. To commit ourselves to the Lord means entrusting everything -- our lives, families, jobs, possessions -- to his control and guidance. To commit is believing that God care for us better than ourselves.

Therefore, while waiting let us pray, serve, worship and obey the Lord. Trust, delight and commit yourself in the Lord Jesus Christ for He is working the best for us that we may continue to enjoy our stay in our God's land of inheritance.

Thanks be to God.
